VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION IS AFS INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE UNCOMPLETED OR ELSEWHERE
• Perform the AFS initialization procedure.
• Switch the ignition to ON.
• Verify that the AFS OFF light status.
• Does the AFS OFF light flash?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Troubleshooting is completed.
(The cause of trouble is that the AFS initialization procedure is not completed.)
6
INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN COMMUNICATION BETWEEN AFS CONTROL MODULE AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OR ELSEWHERE
• Retrieve the DTCs for the PCM, BCM and the instrument cluster using the M-MDS.
• Are the following DTCs displayed?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Go to the next step.
7
INSPECT STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
• Inspect the steering angle sensor.
