1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the splash shield.
3. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [L3].)
4. Remove the starter with the cable still connected and position the starter so that is out of the way. (L.H.D.) (See STARTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 L.H.D.].)
5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
6. Install in the reverse order of the removal.
7. Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [L3].)
8. Inspect the oil level. (See ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION.)
9. Start the engine and confirm that there is no oil leakage.

1. Align the oil cooler locator pin with part A (R.H.D.) or part B (L.H.D.) of the oil filter adapter as shown in the figure, and install the oil cooler.
