• Do other indicator lights illuminate with the ignition switch at ON?

Inspect the meter fuse

No

Go to the next step

• Inspect the O/D OFF switch
• Is the O/D OFF switch normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step
|
No
|
Repair or replace any malfunctioning parts
|

• Inspect the voltage at the following PCM terminal
• O/D OFF indicator light signal
• Is terminal voltage normal?
|
Yes
|
Service as required
|
No
|
Replace the PCM
|

• Inspect the O/D OFF indicator light
• Is the O/D OFF indicator light normal?
|
Yes
|
Inspect for an open circuit or disconnected connector in the wiring harness between the following
• Ignition switch and O/D OFF indicator light
• O/D OFF indicator light and PCM
|
No
|
Repair or replace any malfunctioning parts
|

• Verify the test results.
-
- If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
-
- If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Bulletins and/or On-line Repair Information and perform repair or diagnosis.
-
• If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed.
-
• If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the PCM.
