Note
-
• Installation of a new accumulator tank is not necessary when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of system contamination from a failed A/C component or damage to the accumulator tank.
-
• If an evaporator leak is suspected, the evaporator must be leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle. (See EVAPORATOR/CONDENSER INSPECTION.)
-
• The evaporator core and evaporator housing must be installed as a complete unit.
1. Remove the cooling unit. (See COOLING UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Transfer, the components from the old cooling unit to the new cooling unit.
3. Lubricate the new evaporator with the correct amount of PAG Compressor Oil. (See COMPRESSOR OIL ADDING.)
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
