WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution
• The internal permanent magnets used in the windshield wiper motor are made of a glass-like material. To avoid damaging the magnets, do not strike the motor with a hammer or any other object.
Note
• The windshield wiper motor is not a repairable item. If worn or damaged, a new motor must be installed.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Remove the cowl panel. (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4. Disconnect the connector.

5. Remove the windshield wiper motor as a single unit.

(1) Disconnect the connector.
(2) Remove the push-pin type retainer.
(3) Remove the bolt.
(4) Remove the windshield wiper motor as a single unit.

6. Remove the windshield wiper motor.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
