Remove/Install A/C Compressor


Removal
1. Cover front fender.
2. Pull plug from clutch and drain a/c system.

3. Loosen nut (3) on clamping screw (4).
4. Loosen screws (5 and 6), swivel compressor (1) in and take-off V-belt (2).

5. Remove hose lines (14 and 15) from pipeline (7) and close connections with plugs.

6. Remove screws and nuts (5 and 6) and remove compressor (1) with pipeline (7).

7. Install pressing-off plate before working on compressor.

Installation


CAUTION: If the compressor is replaced due to blocking, renew pipe line with hoses on compressor, since small parts (abrasives) of compressor enter pipe line and cannot be removed 100% when flushing.

1. Check 0-rings on compressor and install pipeline (7).

10 = Spacing washer 5 mm

A/C Hose Condenser To Copressor Hold Down Fasteners:





2. Loosely install compressor to carrier with screws and nuts (5 and 6), tensioning screw (4), spacer sleeve (9), and spacing washers (10 and 12).
3. Install nut (3) on tensioning screw (4).
4. Put V-belt in place and tension nut (3).


A/C Compressor Mounting:





5. Tighten screws and nuts (5 and 6).
6. Remove closing caps on pipeline and hose line. Coat 0-rings with cold-flowing oil and install hose lines to pipeline and tighten.
7. Evacuate a/c system and recharge. SEE Heating and Air Conditioning. Procedures
