Electronic parts, as well as other parts, for Mercedes-Benz automobiles have been designed and manufactured according to the strict quality standards of Daimler-Benz. Therefore, under no circumstances should defective electronic parts be repaired in your workshop, unless otherwise instructed in our Service Literature. Since many of the electronic components are used for systems which directly affect the vehicles safety and that of its passengers (e.g. ABS, SRS, cruise control), you may be held liable for any consequences resulting from the installation and subsequent malfunction of any such repaired parts.

Although cost savings of repairing electronic parts may be tempting, the safety and quality aspect should remain the foremost consideration.
