Compressor Pulley: Service and Repair



Tightening Torques

Screw carrier to cylinder head M 1O x 30 30 ± 3.0 Nm

Screw compressor to holder M 8 x 90 2O ± 2.5 Nm

Nut M 8 to compressor shaft 16 ± 1.0 Nm

b) V-Belt Pulley

Removal

1 Remove V-belt. Service and Repair

2 Remove spring plate. Service and Repair

Attention! Refrigerant system remains filled.





3 Place refrigerant compressor on tubing or the like as an assembly aid (arrows).









4 Remove locking ring in front of V-belt pulley (arrow) and knock out V-belt pulley with plastic hammer.





5 Renew antifriction bearing, if required. Remove locking ring in front of antifriction bearing (arrows).





6 Force out antifriction bearing with special tools (arrows).

7 Force in new antifriction bearing with special tool.

Installation

Attention! If the same V-belt pulley is again installed, clean friction surface of pulley. If friction surface shows damage, e.g. from overheating, renew pulley together with spring plate.

8 Mount V-belt pulley and install locking ring.





9 Place spacing washer and spring plate on compressor shaft, tighten nut (arrow).

10 Check gap dimension and correct with spacing washer, if required.

11 Install refrigerant compressor. Service and Repair

12 Check air-conditioning system for function.
