Cruise Control: Adjustments

1. Disable airbag system, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ARMING & DISARMING.
2. Remove air cleaner assembly.
3. Turn control cable adjustment bolt until spring has .12-.20 inch (3-5 mm) of play.
4. Loosen connecting link lock bolts, ensuring throttle valve lever is against idle stop of throttle body.
5. Move connecting link lever to idle stop at acceleration pedal position sensor.
6. Swivel connecting link lever clockwise until link is apart.
7. Push loosened lock bolt toward accelerator pedal position sensor until stop pin is adjacent to hole, then carefully push lever to stop, then tighten lock bolt.
8. Turn ignition On, adjust control bowden cable, depress accelerator cable to kickdown switch. Do not activate kickdown switch.
9. Push lever to wide open throttle, if not as indicated readjust screw.
10. Turn ignition Off, with accelerator pedal in idle position ensure no play in take up spring.If play indicated, adjust.
