Cruise Control: Adjustments

1. Disable airbag system, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ARMING & DISARMING.
2. Remove air cleaner assembly, then disconnect control lever links.
3. Remove telescoping rod at throttle valve connecting lever ball. Do not bend telescoping rod.
4. Position accelerator pedal position sensor connecting lever at idle stop.
5. Connect telescoping rod to throttle valve connecting lever.
6. Adjustment distance should be .12-.20 inch (3-5 mm) longer than distance between throttle valve connecting lever and accelerator position sensor control lever.
7. Adjust connecting linkage so that throttle valve connecting lever freeplay is gone, ensuring throttle valves open if accelerator position sensor is moved.
8. Check operation to verify.
