Ignition Wire Replacement

Spark Plug Covers (21 And 22):





1. Remove covers (21 and 22) from the cylinder head covers.
2. Loosen the spark plug connectors by turning right and left and carefully lifting out.

Distributor Locations:





3. Remove the covers from the high voltage distributors.
4. Unplug the spark plug wires from the distributor caps and remove the wires.

NOTE: Observe ignition wire routing.

5. Reinstall the ignition wires in reverse manner.


Spark Plug Cable Routing





Mercedes Benz does not supply a specific routing of the spark plug cables for 119 series engine. However, the OE distributor cap and spark plug cable are numbered to facilitate installation.
