General Information

The engine control module (N3/4) is located in the component compartment. Voltage is supplied from the overvoltage protection relay (K1/2). The control module receives engine operating data from sensors and controls the injectors and ignition.

In addition, an interface for the CAN data bus was implemented. Data exchange occurs between the engine control module (N3/4), the electronic accelerator control module (N4/1) or cruise control/ISC module (N4/3), and the diagnostic module (N59) in California version vehicles.
