Remove/Install Alternator

Removing, installing
1 Disconnect ground cable of battery


Caution: In model 210, insulate the ground line terminal in order to protect against undesired connection between the ground line arid the ground point W10.


2 Slacken ribbed V-belt and remove from the alternator
- Engine 104
- Engine 111
- Engine 601
- Engine 611
- Engine 604/605

3.1 Remove bottom engine compartment panel


NOTE: In model 202, 208 with gasoline engine only.


3.2 Remove lower sections of noise encapsulation


NOTE: In model 202 with diesel engine only.


4 Remove protection against accidental contact (4)


NOTE: If installed.


5 Disconnect electrical lines (1. 2)
- In gasoline engines only.
- Refer to Alternator 1 below

- In gasoline engines only.

- In diesel engines only.
- Refer to Alternator 2 below

- In diesel engines only.
- Refer to Alternator 2 below

- In CDI engines only.
- Refer to Alternator 2 below

- In CDI engines only.
- Refer to Alternator 2 below

6 Unscrew screws (3)
- In gasoline engines only.
- Refer to Alternator 1 below

- In diesel engines only.
- Refer to Alternator 2 below

- In CDI engines only.
- Refer to Alternator 2 below

7 Remove alternator (G2) downwards
8 Install in the reverse order
