Crash Control Module: Testing and Inspection

2 Connection, c. 31
3 Connection, c. 15
K56 Crash shut-off relay

1 Disconnect connector on crash shut-off relay.
2 Switch on ignition.

Test step 1
Connect multimeter to pin 3 (c. 15) on crash shut-off relay connector and battery ground W10. Nominal value: 11 - 14V
- Nominal value not reached:
Eliminate fault in lead c. 15.
- Nominal value reached:
Perform test step 2.

Test step 2
Connect multimeter to pin 2 (c. 31) of crash shut-off relay connector and positive pole of battery. Nominal value: 11 - 14V
- Nominal value not reached:
Eliminate fault in lead c. 31.
- Nominal value reached:
Replace crash shut-off relay.
End of test.
