Keyless Entry Module: Service and Repair




2nd version as of 09/95





A pillar trim in bottom of passenger footwell
Remove, install.

Cover with recirculated air filter (2)
Remove, install.

Screw (arrow)
Take off, screw on.

Electric couplings
Disconnect, connect

NOTE: The 12-pin connector is provided with a plug-in and withdrawal aid. To withdraw, press locking catch and fold over bar.
The 2-pin connector is secured with a lock. To disconnect, press locking catch and push lock to the side.

Control module (N54)
Remove, insert.


NOTE: When replacing the control module or the transmitter key, always quote the locking mechanism number, since these two components are tuned to each other.
After replacing the control module, perform version coding as stated in diagnosis manual.
