Heater Core: Service and Repair

Remove and install heat exchanger









1.1 Remove heater unit
1.2 Remove AC housing
2 Unscrew bolts (51) on cover (50)
3 Unclip 8 clamps
4 Remove cover (50)
5 Remove guide for heating water flow pipe (53) (screws 54)
6 Remove heating water return line (d), (screws 55)
7 Disconnect socket yoke for heating water flow pipe (c)

CAUTION: Installation: Replace socket yoke.

8 Remove heat exchanger (60) together with the heating water pipes (c, d)

NOTE: Clean heater housing from inside, if necessary remove escaping coolant.

9 Detach heating water pipes (c, d) on heat exchanger, remove screws (57)

NOTE: Install new O-rings.

10 Install in the reverse order.
