Measuring interior temperature
The interior sensor aspirator in the overhead control panel control module is actuated by a signal from the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module via the interior CAN bus (CAN B). Diagnosis is first performed for the sensor aspirator. The overhead control panel control module then signals the status and the measured interior temperature to the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module via the interior CAN bus (CAN B).

Under certain operating conditions the aspirator is also switched on by a signal from the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module when the ignition is switched off (e.g. residual engine heat utilization).
