Purpose

The overhead control panel control module (N70) is responsible for the following operations:

- Control of the automatic dimming feature for the interior rear-view mirror (A67) and exterior rear-view mirrors
- Control of interior light functions
- Reading in the integrated switches and sensors:
- Sliding/pop-up roof switch (SR, N70s1),
- Rear dome lamp switch (N70s2),
- Door contact ON and OFF switch (N70s3),
- Interior lamp ON and OFF switch (N70s4),
- Left front reading lamp switch (N70s6),
- Right front reading lamp switch (N70s7),
- In-car air temperature sensor (N70b1)

- Reading in the sensors (windshield):
- Rain sensor (B38).
- Automatic light switch daylight sensor (B32/1)
- Control of sliding/pop-up roof
- Reading in rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12) and relaying the data on the CAN-bus
- Control of integrated from dome lamp (N70e1)
- Reading in and control of the interior rear-view mirror unit (A67) components:
- Left reading lamp (A67e1)
- Right reading lamp (A67e2)
- Ambient lamp (A67e3)
- Automatic dimming rear-view mirror sensor (A67h1)
- Ambient light sensor (A67h2)
- Vertical adjustment motor (A67m1)
- Horizontal adjustment motor (A67m2)
- Vertical position potentiometer (A67r1)
- Horizontal position potentiometer (A67r2)
