Fuel Level Sensor: Service and Repair



DANGER!

- RISK OF POISONING AS A RESULT OF INHALING VAPORS AND OPEN HANDLING OF FUEL.
- RISK OF INJURY AS A RESULT OF FUEL SPLASHING INTO EYES.
- NO FIRE, NAKED FLAME OR SMOKING.
- AVOID THE CREATION OF SPARKS.
- POUR AND STORE FUEL ONLY IN THE CONTAINERS PROVIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE.
- WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND, IF NECESSARY, EYE PROTECTION WHEN HANDLING FUELS.


Fuel Tank:





84/4 Pipes of suction spray pump
89/2 Shaped seal
B4/1 Fuel gauge sensor, left half of tank
B4/2 Fuel gauge sensor, right half of tank

1. Drain fuel tank.
2. Unscrew ring nut with pin wrench.
3. Remove fuel gauge sender unit.
4. Fit the pipes (84/4) of suction jet pump onto fuel gauge sender (B4/1).
5. Replace sectional sealing ring (89/2).
6. Insert fuel gauge senders with pins into slots of the fuel tank.
7. Ring nut for fuel gauge sender torque: 55 Nm (41 ft lb).
