It is possible to adapt the automatic sequence of the gearshift to the particular operating conditions with the selector lever of the floor-mounted shift.
The selector lever position can admittedly be altered in the forward gears when driving, but the electronic transmission control (ETC) prevents a gearshift if this would result in the engine operating at impermissibly high revs.
