Treating BAS parts in crashed vehicles
The brake booster must be replaced if, owing to the extent of damage to the vehicle, the brake booster has been displaced from its original position or shows signs of contact with other components. Indications of this are e.g.:
^ Hydraulic lines kinked
^ leaking connections at master brake cylinders
^ Cables or plug connections damaged
^ brake booster housing shows signs of damage

The system should always be checked in accordance with the Diagnosis Manual.
