Repairing Spark Plug Thread






1 Remove cylinder head cover

NOTE: Installation:
- check for leaks with engine running
- Check that gasket of cylinder head cover is correctly located.

2 Remove spark plug

3 Position piston of cylinder in question to 20 degrees - 30 degrees before TDC

4 Tap thread in spark plug bore and screw in threaded insert
5 Crank engine with starter
- In order to remove any swarf which may have dropped in the piston crown

6 Caulk threaded insert
7 Install in the reverse order.
