Different performance maps for the engine control can be stored and activated with the correction programming in the ME-SFI [ME] control unit.

Correction programming can be carried out with STAR DIAGNOSIS when ignition is "ON", via the data link connector

The following performance maps can be influenced:
^ Ignition maps for adapting to different fuel quality (except United States of America)
^ Mixture maps for enriching the air/fuel mixture in different operating states (except United States of America)
^ Idle speed with drive program engaged (with transmission 722)
^ Fault setting conditions for rendering smooth engine running (recognition less sensitive)
