The TV antenna selector is installed in the area of the glove compartment.

The task of the TV antenna selector is subdivided into the following partial tasks:

^ Processing and forwarding signals

Receiving signals
The TV antenna selector receives the following signals via HF lines:
- TV signals (Japanese NTSC frequency band) of the two receiver modules of the TV window antenna (A2/95)

Processing and forwarding signals
The stronger of the TV signals received by the two receiver modules of the TV window antenna is picked up and forwarded to the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3). The TV signals are processed internally in the COMAND operating, display and controller unit and forwarded via the display. The interface is generated and displayed by the COMAND operating, display and controller unit.

The TV function is only available when the vehicle is stationary and the parking brake engaged.
