GF80.50-P-3014SK Trigger Alarm With Panic Switch, Function
- with CODE (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW])
- with CODE (763) Radio remote control with panic switch

Component Identification:

Function
When the panic alarm button (PANIC) on the transmitter key (A8/1) is actuated for approx. 1 s, it transmits a signal to the left antenna amplifier module (A2/64) via radio. This signal is relayed via the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) to the EIS control unit (N73).
On vehicles with code (880a) Locking system with infrared remote control, an infrared signal is transmitted via infrared to the left IR receiver unit (A26/1) or right IR receiver unit (A26/2) parallel to the radio signal (precise aiming required). This signal is read in by the left door control unit (N69/1) or right door control unit (N69/2) and transmitted to the EIS control unit (N73) via CAN B (CAN).

The EIS control unit (N73) checks the access authorization of the transmitter key (A8/1). If the access authorization is valid, the EIS control unit (N73) transmits "Panic alarm" request to the CAN B (CAN).

The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) triggers an optical and acoustic alarm independent from the status of the anti-theft alarm (ATA).

The panic alarm has priority over the ATA alarm. If both alarms are set off, the panic alarm is emitted.

Terminate alarm
Momentarily actuate panic alarm button (PANIC) on transmitter key (A8/1).
The panic alarm is terminated when the EIS control unit (N73) recognizes a valid transmitter key (A8/1).

The panic alarm function and the duration of the alarm can be programmed via the STAR DIAGNOSIS.
