The visual alarm is output via the vehicle illumination. The type of alarm and alarm duration are stored in the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2). The request is transmitted via the controller area network bus class B (interior compartment) (CAN B).

Exterior lighting actuation
The exterior lighting is actuated at a frequency of 2.5 Hz.

Driver-side SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1):
^ Left turn signal lamp (E1e5)
^ Right turn signal lamp (E2e5)

Rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2):
^ Left turn signal lamp (E3e1)
^ Right turn signal lamp (E4e1)

Left door control unit (N69/1):
^ Left outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/5)

Right door control unit (N69/2):
^ Right outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/6)

Interior lighting actuation
The interior lighting is switched on for the duration of the alarm without dimming.

^ Right interior lamp (N70e5)

Moreover, the
^ left turn signal indicator lamp (A1e1) and
^ right turn signal indicator lamp (A1e2) are actuated in the instrument cluster (A1).

Alarm duration
When triggering via anti-theft alarm (ATA): 300 s

Alarm interruption
^ Unlocking or locking central locking (CL) with transmitter key A8/1) or
^ Inserting the transmitter key (A8/1) into the electronic ignition/ starter switch control unit (N73)
