Via the remote control of the transmitter key (A8/1) the vehicle can optionally:
^ unlock selectively (driver's door, interior compartments and fuel filler flap)
^ unlock globally (entire vehicle),
^ lock globally or
^ open the trunk lid

When unlocked globally or selectively with the transmitter key A8/1), the unlock CL interior switch (N72/1s16) and the lock CL interior switch and the ATA function indicator lamp (N72/1s17) are enabled

The signals are received when the turn signal lamps on the vehicle come on regardless of selective or global setting:

^ Unlock is signaled by the turn signal lamps flashing once
^ Lock is signaled by the turn signal lamps flashing three times
