The EIS control module (N73) serves as limited gateway between the controller area network bus class B (interior compartment) (CAN-B) and the controller area network bus class C (engine compartment) (CAN-C) for exchanging drive authorization data not transmitted by the central gateway control module (N93).

^ Transmission of authentication data for releasing electric steering lock control module (N26/5) and ME-SFI control module (N3/10),
^ Closing key opening when transmitter key (A8/1) is removed

^ Prefastening and holding transmitter key (A8/1) in position 0,
