Navigation includes creating and outputting driving recommendations to guide the driver to the desired destination.
The prerequisites of destination guidance include:
^ Continuous position finding in operation (takes place automatically).
^ Destination was entered
^ Route has been calculated.

The navigation processor (N41/1) compares the route calculation data with the continuous position finding data and derives from this the measures for continued navigation.

Depending on the position of the vehicle, a distinction can be made between the following two navigating modes:
^ Destination within digitized DVD map area
^ Restricted navigation outside the digitalized DVD map area
