GF82.85-P-3113-01SKU Satellite Radio, Task

The SDAR antenna (A2/82) receives the S-band signals from satellites and is capable of receiving the corresponding signals from terrestrial fill-in transmitters (mainly in cities). The signals received from the SDAR antenna (A2/82) are passed on to the SDAR control unit (N87/5) via a coaxial cable. The SDAR control unit (N87/5) receives and decodes the signals. These are then sent over the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) to the operating unit. The satellite radio function can be called up on the operating unit using the "SAT" button.

The SIRIUS satellite radio receiver is available as a dealer option for the USA version. To this end, the vehicle is delivered with all the wiring installed. To equip the vehicle correspondingly, the receiver and antenna still have to be installed and connected.
