Side-impact
In the event of a side collision, the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) evaluates the data of the following components:
^ Drive sidebag sensor (A53)
^ Front passenger sidebag sensor (A54)

The following information is also evaluated for recording the situation in the vehicle interior:

Front passenger seat occupation status
The restraint systems control unit (N2/7) decides whether to trigger the front passenger sidebag unit depending on the current seat occupation.

The following squibs of the corresponding restraint devices can be actuated in the event of a side impact:
^ driver sidebag squib (R12/9)
^ front passenger sidebag squib (R12/10)
