Depending on the product requirement, all Mercedes-Benz vehicles require a host of different detachable body parts which are painted due to the individual function.

Very often these detachable body parts are produced by internal and external suppliers (completely painted) and supplied to the particular production plant ready to assemble.

Due to the individual application purposes, very different basic materials are used. Increasingly, plastics with specific properties are being used.

Reproduceable quality is ensured from all suppliers due to the quality features and test methods set down by Mercedes-Benz.

Surface quality and color matching corresponding to the complete vehicle is ensured even on pre-painted detachable body parts.
