AR88.50-P-5100-01V Adjust Tubular Frame

Shown with tubular frame (1) removed







1. Remove inserts (2) from tubular frame (1).

The inserts (2) are destroyed when removed and must be replaced.

2. Unscrew left and right height stop (3) from tubular frame (1)







3. Loosen bolts (4, 5) on left and right guide bolts (6).
4. Simultaneously push tubular frame (1) forward and downward by hand in the area of the striker eye for the trunk lid lock, to lock the guide bolts (6) in the tubular frame (1).







5. Position strut (7) on tubular frame (1).

Carefully attach strut (7) to prevent paint damage to rear fenders.

6. Turn jet locking nut (8) on strut (7) all the way up.
7. Screw both bolts (9) on the strut (7) all the way into the tapped holes for the height stops (arrows).
8. Arrest strut (7) with jet locking nuts (8) for strut (7) on bolts (9) for strut (7).

9. Insert left and right guide bolts (6) into mounts from tubular frame (1) in direction of arrow against stop and tighten bolts (4).

Tighten bolts (4) to specified torque.

10. Pull tubular frame (1) up by hand on striker eye for trunk lid lock to release tubular frame (1) in guide bolts (6).
11. Put up tubular frame (1) until bolt (5) on left and right guide bolts (6) is accessible.
12. Tighten bolt (5) on left and right guide bolts (6).

Tighten bolt (5) to specified torque.







13. Remove strut (7) from tubular frame (1).
14. Screw in left and right height stops (3).

The height stops (3) can be tightened later when the trunk lid is installed.

15. Insert new inserts (2) into left and right mounts in tubular frame (1).
