The left and right transition between the trunk lid (2) and the left and right rear fender can be adjusted separately if the differences are not too great. . Adjustment is illustrated on tubular frame bolt (1) as an example.

1. Open trunk lid (2)
2. Screw in punch buffer (3)
3. Open trunk partition

See Operator's Manual

4. Remove expanding clip (4) from trunk lining (5).
5. Loosen trunk lining (5) in area of tubular frame bolt (1) until tubular frame bolt (1) is accessible.

6. Mark installation position of tubular frame bolt (1).

Mark installation position of tubular frame bolt (1) as precise as possible Otherwise, precise adjustment is not possible Moreover, it is possible to change the basic adjustment of the tubular frame.

7. Loosen bolts (6) until tubular frame bolt (1) can be moved.
8. Adjust tubular frame bolt (1) in increments of 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm upward and downward.Following each adjustment, adapt height of locking eye (7) and closing force of trunk lid (2).

Do not move tubular frame bolt (1) toward front or toward rear Otherwise, the base adjustment of the tubular frame changes.

If the trunk lid (2) is positioned too high, adjust tubular frame bolt (1) downward This increases the closing force of the trunk lid (2).If the trunk lid (2) is positioned too low, adjust tubular frame bolt (1) upward. This decreases the closing force of the trunk lid (2).

During adjustment check transition between trunk lid (2) and rear fender (8) with gauge (9). Observe marking on gauge (9): "K" should makes contact with the rear fender (8). "H" should make contact with the trunk lid (2).

9. When the tubular frame bolt (1) is adjusted correctly, tighten bolts (6) with specified tightening torque.

10. Adjust height of locking eye (7)

Observe gaps (M, V), closing force of trunk lid (2) and tightening torque of mounting screws for locking eye (7).

11. Unscrew punch buffer (3) until locked trunk lid (2) does not have any play.

12. Position trunk lining (5).
13. Install expanding clip (4).
14. Close trunk partition

See Operator's Manual

15. Close trunk lid (2).
