AH88.50-P-0002-01V General Notes on Repairing Tubular Frame
Model 171.4, 172.4

Shown on model 171.4

When the tubular frame (1) is moved by hand for adjustment work or repair, it is necessary to ensure that the tubular frame (1) is simultaneously pulled toward the rear and upward when moving in the area of the lock striker (2).
This applies even when the trunk lid is locked in the trunk lid lock.
Here, it is necessary to pull the trunk lid toward the rear and simultaneously upward on the handle when moving the tubular frame (1).
This ensures that the brackets (3) at the 2-joint hinge (4) do not lay over the shackles (5) on the tubular frame (1).
When attaching the tubular frame (1) to the rear center section, ensure that the brackets (3) are located inside the shackles (5).

If the tubular frame (1) is moved, when the shackles (5) are positioned on the brackets (3) or the brackets (3) are canted, the tubular frame (1) or the 2-joint hinges (4) are damaged and the tubular frame (1) must be replaced.
