GF80.20-P-4009SK Automatic Locking, Function

Function requirements
^ Automatic locking in instrument cluster (A1) activated.

Operating procedure
The "Automatic locking" function locks the doors and the trunk lid as soon as the vehicle exceeds a speed of approx. 15 km/h. In this case, the EIS control unit (N73) transmits the "Locking" command via the controller area network bus class B (interior compartment) (CAN B) to the left door control unit (N69/1), the right door control unit (N69/2) and the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2)

The left door control unit (N69/1) actuates the left door CL motor (M14/6) and the right door control unit (N69/2) the right door CL motor (M14/5). The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) deactivates the trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8).

The vehicle can be unlocked by opening the drivers door, passenger door or actuating the interior CL switch (N72/1s16). If the vehicle is unlocked with the "Unlock" CL interior switch (N72/1s16), the vehicle also remains unlocked at speeds exceeding the speed threshold.
If a door is opened and then closed again following automatic locking when the vehicle speed is greater than the speed threshold, the door in question is locked again after it is closed.
