Function
The left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) can be selected for adjustment with the
^ outside mirror adjustment switch with/without mirror fold-in/out feature (S50/1)
^ outside mirror adjustment raise/lower, in/out rocker switch (S50/1s1) to the desired position,
^ left outside mirror adjustment selection switch (S50/1s6) or right outside mirror adjustment selection switch (S50/1s7).
^ on vehicles with code (500) Folding left/right outside mirrors with outside mirror fold-in/out switch (S50/1s3) or when locking/ unlocking the vehicle folded in/out.
^ on vehicles with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors), the position of the outside mirrors can be stored and the mirrors can be moved to the stored positions with the left ESA switch group (S22)
^ on vehicles with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors), by shifting the reverse gear to the park position.

The left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) are heated automatically depending on the outdoor temperature. The left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and inside rearview mirror unit (A67) are automatically dimmed depending on the light conditions (on vehicles with code (249) Automatically dimming inside rearview mirror and outside mirror (driver)).

On vehicles up to 31.5.05 the outside mirror position is stored key-related, i.e. three memory positions can be stored for each transmitter key. A8/1
