Function
Three positions for the left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) can be stored over the memory function A position can be stored with S22 the memory button 1,2,3 switch (S22s7) located on the left ESA switch group as well as memory switch (S22s6) for starting the storage procedure read in by the driver front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1). Before storing, the left electrically adjustable heated outside mirror (M21/1) and right electrically adjustable heated outside mirror (M21/2) must be set to the desired position via the outside mirror adjustment switch with/without mirror fold-in/out facility (S50/1).

There are two possibilities for storing the position:
^ Press and hold down memory switch (S22s6) and momentarily press desired memory button 1,2,3 switch (S22s7) simultaneously.
^ Momentarily actuate memory switch (S22s6) and press desired memory location key in memory button 1,2,3 switch (S22s7) within 3 s.

The positions of the left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) are stored in the driver front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1).

On vehicles up to 31.5.05, the outside mirror position is stored key-related, i.e. three memory positions can be stored for each transmitter key.
On vehicles as of 1.6.05, this function is discontinued Only three key-related memory positions can be stored.
