- up to model year 08

Component Identification:

Requirements
^ Circuit 15 ON,
^ Reverse gear engaged for longer than 0.6 s
^ Right outside mirror adjustment switch (S50/1s7) actuated
^ Function in instrument cluster (A1) activated and
^ Potentiometer supplies valid readings for position recognition

Function
If the right door control module (N69/2) receives the CAN-B (CAN) message "Reverse gear engaged" by the central gateway control module (N93), the right electrically adjustable heated outside mirror (M21/2) is moved to the park position stored for the transmitter key.

The right electrically adjustable heated outside mirror (M21/2) is automatically moved to the original position, if:
^ the reserve gear is not recognized after 10 s or
^ the vehicle speed is greater than 10 km/h or
^ the left outside mirror adjustment switch (S50/1s6) is actuated

It is also moved to the original position if the right electrically adjustable heated outside mirror (M21/2) is adjusted manually to the park position via the outside mirror adjustment switch with/ without mirror fold-in/out (S50/1). If the right electrically adjustable heated outside mirror (M21/2) is in the park position with c. 15 OFF, it is moved immediately to the return position when c. 15 is switched back on and the reverse gear is no longer engaged. If reverse gear is recognized with c. 15 ON, the mirror moves to the associated park position for the transmitter key in use after 0.6 s.

Store park position
First, the desired park position of the electrically adjustable heated outside mirror (M21/2) must be adjusted manually via the outside mirror adjustment switch with/without mirror fold-in/out (S50/1). The park position is stored by the left seat adjustment switch group (S22).

When the memory switch (S22s6) is pressed momentarily and then the right outside mirror adjustment switch (S50/1s7) is pressed within 3s the momentary outside mirror position is stored as park position.
The data for the park position is stored in front seat adjustment control module with memory, driver (N32/1).
