GF98.00-P-2005A Color ranges in general

MB paintwork code
MB colors (4-digit numerical combinations) are arranged according to basic colors. The 4-digit color numbers are structured as follows: the 1st digit specifies the basic color (RAL group), and the 2nd to 4th digits specify the color number.

RAL groups:
1 = Yellow
2 = Orange
3 = Red
4 = purple/violet
5 = Blue
6 = Green
7 = Gray
8 = Brown
9 = white/black/silver/gold

Note
On the passenger car body plate, the MB color number is only embossed as 3 digits, i.e. without the RAL group.
The following color charts represent passenger car and cross-country vehicle color shades painted since 1963, sorted according to RAL groups. Due to the large number of color shades in the commercial vehicle area (approx. 3000) a list is not shown here.

Designo-color range
Also listed are the colors in the active designo range. Active in this context means that the colors are available ex-factory in contrast to the passive designo line. Here the customer can request special colors; the colors must be mixed individually according to request.
The designo line is available for all passenger car models.
