AR77.50-P-3040-01V Adjust Vario Roof Main Bearing

Soft Top - Mechanical System:

Special Tool:

Both upper center pillar panelings (2) are removed.







1. Completely close and lock Vario roof with Vario roof actuation switch.
2. Remove edge guard (3) in area of left and right rear paneling (4)
3. Loosen side rear paneling (4) until both Vario roof main bearings (1) are accessible.
4. Loosen bolts (5).

Shown on left main bearing mount in trunk







5. Loosen bolts (6) on left and right main bearing of Vario roof (1).







6. Position gauge (8) on Vario roof as shown and check contour of Vario roof front section (7).

If the contour of the Vario roof front section (7) is lower than the contour of the gauge (8) adjust Vario roof front bearings toward front
If the contour of the Vario roof front section (7) is higher than the contour of the gauge (8) adjust Vario roof front bearings toward rear.







7. Move left and right main bearing (1) toward front or toward rear

Move main bearing (1) uniformly.

8. Tighten bolts (6) on left and right Vario roof main bearing (1)

Observe tightening torques.







9. Screw tight bolts (5)

Observe tightening torques.

10. Position rear paneling (4) on both center pillars.
11. Install left and right edge guard (3) on center pillars.
