GF91.29-P-0008SK Lumbar Adjustment Function

GF91.29-P-0008SK Lumbar Adjustment Function
- with CODE (U22) Lumbar support setting

Function requirements:
^ Controller Area Network bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B) active (e.g. vehicle unlocked, circuit 15C On or door open)

General
In order to provide optimum support for the vertebral column, the backrests on the driver and front passenger seats each have 2 air cushions integrated into them. They can be adjusted by means of two adjusting knurls, which are designed as control valves. The compressed air supply is provided by the lumbar pump (M25/1).

Function
Depending on the given request, the air cushions are separately inflated or deflated when the adjusting knurls are actuated.

^ Upper adjusting knurl
- to inflate/deflate upper air cushion
^ Lower adjusting knurl
- to inflate/deflate lower air cushion

The lumbar pump is actuated by the rear SAM with fuse and relay module control unit (N10/2). The supplied compressed air is temporarily stored in pressure vessels located immediately next to the lumbar pump. Pneumatic lines are routed from here to the adjusting knurls located in each seat and then further on to the air cushions.

Pressure is regulated by the lumbar pump:
^ Switch-on point p < 0.5 bar
^ Cutout point p ≥ 0.8 bar
