Driver seat
There is a Hall sensor at each of the motors (M27/1, M27/2, M27/3 and M27/5) for the driver seat adjustment.

The driver-side Hall sensor signals are read in by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1), checked for plausibility, and calculated in the internal location counter for position measurement.

Passenger seat
On vehicles with code 242b, electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory.

There is a Hall sensor at each of the adjustment motors (M28/1, M28/2, M28/3 and M28/5) for the front passenger seat adjustment. The driver-side Hall sensor signals are read in by the passenger-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/2), checked for plausibility, and calculated in the internal location counter for position measurement.
