Function prerequisites:
^ Heated seats (HS) are switched on

The different heating stages are realized by pulsed actuation of the heated cushions (R13/1, R13/2, R13/3 and R13/4).
The heating times can be programmed via diagnosis.

Manual switchover
The operating and function indications of the heated seats (HS) are summarized in the table given below.

Automatic switching of the heating stages (timer control)
The Front HS, head area ventilation and steering wheel heater control unit (N25/7) realizes the timer control for the heated seats (HS):
^ Heating stage 3 stays on for 5 min. Then the system automatically switches to heating stage 2.
^ Heating stage 2 stays on for 10 min. Then the system automatically switches to heating stage 1.
^ Heating stage 1 stays on for 20 min. Then the heated seats (HS) are automatically switched off.
