GF91.30-P-2010SK Switching on Airscarf System, Function

GF91.30-P-2010SK Switching On Airscarf System, Function
- with CODE (403) Airscarf system

Component Identification:

Function requirements
^ Circuit or circuit 1515R ON
^ Interior temperature < 40 °C (with code (581b) comfort automatic air conditioning)

Function
The actuation of the left AIRSCARF switch (N72/1s21) or the right AIRSCARF switch (N72/1s22) is input by the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) and sent to the CAN-B (CAN).

Button operation Actuation Function indicator
Once Heating stage 3 on 3 LEDs
Twice Heating stage 2 on 2 LEDs
Three times Heating stage 1 on 1 LED
Four times Off None

The front HS [SIH], head area ventilation and steering wheel heater control unit (N25/7), depending on the request, actuates the following components:
^ Left head area ventilation heating element (R22/5) and
^ Left head area ventilation fan (M4/10)

or:

^ Right head area ventilation heating element (R22/6) and
^ Right head area ventilation fan (M4/11)

The left head area ventilation fan (M4/10) and right head area ventilation fan (M4/11) are switched on with a delay of approx. 10 s to prevent voltage peaks.

The selected heating stage is sent cyclically by the front HS [SIH], head area ventilation and steering wheel heater control unit (N25/7) to CAN-B (CAN).

The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) as a function of the message actuates the LEDs in the left AIRSCARF switch (N72/1s21) or right AIRSCARF switch (N72/1s22).

Actuation of heating
The 3 heating stages are implemented by a pulsed actuation of the voltage for the left head area ventilation heating element (R22/5) or right head area ventilation heating element (R22/6)

Actuation of ventilation
The left head area ventilation fan (M4/10) and the right head area ventilation fan (M4/11) are supplied with power as a function of the selected heating stage.

With the Vario roof open and as a function of the ground speed (signal from instrument cluster (A1)), the speed of the left head area ventilation fan (M4/10) or the right head area ventilation fan (M4/11) is increased in the particular heating stages by an increase in voltage.

It is possible to switch the Airscarf system on and off and to a different setting if the function prerequisites are met.
