Special Tools:

The seat cushion frame (1) for the mechanically operated front seat is under preload produced by a torsion bar. This tension must be relieved in order to be able to uninstall and reinstall the backrest frame (2), the backrest adjuster (3) and the seat frame (1). To do this, the seat must be mounted on a clamping device (6).

1. Position the front seat on the clamping device (6) and align the hole pattern on the seat rails (4) with the clamping device (6).

2. Using the seat mounting screws (5), attach the front seat to the clamping device (6).
3. Take off in the reverse order.
