GF42.45-P-0001-04SK Electronic stability program (ESP), driver information

Component Identification:

Function of ESP warning lamp (A1e41) with "circuit W ON/OFF"
The ESP warning lamp (A1e41) in the instrument cluster (A1) lights up when the transmitter key (A8/1) into position "circuit 15 ON".

The ESP warning lamp (A1e41) goes out once the engine is started. This shows that the Electronic Stability Program (Electronic-Stability-Program) (ESP) is operational.

Function of ESP warning lamp (A1e41) while driving
Once the ESP warning lamp (A1e41) has gone out, it remains off as long as the ESP closed-loop operation is not active (no wheel has exceeded the adhesion limit).

ESP warning lamp (A1e41) flashes
The ESP warning lamp (A1e41) flashes while the ESP closed-loop operation is active (at least one wheel has exceeded the adhesion limit).

When the ESP is deactivated by means of pressing the ESP OFF switch (A72/1s1) and simultaneous active restricted ESP closed-loop operation, the ESP warning lamp (A1e41) flashes, if during a starting-off process one wheel has exceeded the adhesion limit or during a brake application at least one wheel has exceeded the adhesion limit (normal ESP brake torque control).

ESP warning lamp (A1e41) lights up continuously
The ESP warning lamp (A1e41) lights up continuously if the ESP is not available. This is the case when the ESP OFF switch (A72/1s1) is pressed and inactive restricted ESP control mode ESP or in the event of an EPS system fault (e.g. B. fault in the ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5)).

The brake system continues to function normally.
