GF82.10-P-3004SKX High-Beams Actuation, Function

GF82.10-P-3004SKX High-Beams Actuation, Function
- with CODE (614) Bi-xenon headlamp unit

Component Identification:

Function requirements:
^ Circuit 15R ON
^ Low beam ON, irrespective whether the actuation is caused by the exterior lamp switch (S1) in position "AUTO" or by the activation of the daytime running lamps in the instrument cluster (A1)
^ Combination switch (S4) in high beam position

The driver can activate the high beam functionality by pressing the combination switch (S4). The steering column module (N80) reads in the combination switch (S4) and transmits the "high beam ON" message on the Controller Area Network Bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B).

The driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) actuates the left high beam solenoid (E1l1) in the left front lamp unit (E1) and the right high beam solenoid (E2l1) in the right front lamp unit (E2); in the process, the headlamp plates, which cover the lower part of the light beam at low beam, are swiveled downwards. This enables the entire beam to be provided for the high beam. The instrument cluster (A1) actuates the blue high beam indicator lamp (A1e3) and thus visually indicates to the driver that the high beam is switched on.
