GF07.61-P-3017V ME Engine Speed Signal, Function

The short-circuit proof engine speed signal "TNA" is generated from the signals from the crankshaft Hall sensor in the ME control unit. The output stage output can accept a maximum load of 20 mA.

The signal is picked up at the data link connector. In addition, the control unit outputs a CAN message with the engine speed to further control units and to the instrument cluster.

The engine speed signal "TNA" is a square wave signal with a constant duty cycle. 6 pulses are output per engine revolution. If the signal from the crankshaft Hall sensor fails, then the signals of the camshaft Hall sensor are used as a replacement.
