GF91.60-P-4004-03SK Driver/Front Passenger Sidebag - Design

The sidebag unit is in a housing containing the folded airbag, the hybrid-type inflator and the respective driver sidebag squib (R12/9) or front passenger sidebag squib (R12/10). On the front side of the housing, a predetermined fracture area is located for the outlet of the airbag. The electrical connection for the squib is located at the rear of the housing.

|f the connector is disconnected, the coupling of the driver sidebag squib (R12/9) or the front passenger sidebag squib (R12/10) is automatically closed by a short-circuit bridge. The sidebag units are fitted with hybrid-type inflators. Hybrid-type inflators provide the following advantages compared to standard inflators they are:

^ Easier to dispose
